Sailfish – New mobile operating system from Jolla

Here’s an alternative to Android and iOS mobile operating system. A new startup company called Jolla has introduced a new mobile operating system called “Sailfish”. This Jolla’s operating system is pretty different from the existing giants Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS, at least what we understood from the demonstration. The company names Sailfish, as an alternative to Coke and Pepsi of Smartphone platforms. Any smartphone these days only features Android or iOS, except few hypes from Microsoft’s Windows phone and Nokia’s dream of launching Android phone.

Sailfish was unveilved in Helsinki on November 21st, which aims at targeting Chinese market – whose mobile users growth would increase by 150% in the next year. The company had setup its headquarters in both Helsinki and Hong Kong and plans for its R&D operations in the mainland China.
