Windows Phone 8.1 to feature file manager

Windows phone 8.1 is one of the most expected updates to the Windows Phone 8 lineup and is coming with rather exciting news. There is to be an inbuilt file manager that is sure to change the way how WP operates. This will help in managing your files better and all those documents and xap files stored on your phone can be accessed. Wp8.1 is codenamed blue and is set for release in early 2014. It is the next major update. It is also said to bring with it a notification center and a hot voice assistant codenamed Cortana. The move comes after a suggestion box requesting Microsoft to add the new features. The suggestion box was put by Microsoft to listen to the complaints and suggestions of users to tend to them and to help improve the WP platform.

This will change how people perceive the Windows Phone platform. It is a huge step forward. Microsoft developers have answered the complaints raised by the people. This is a really amazing thing comparing the other OS like Android and iOS which do not tend to the needs of the people. Rather the manufacturers push the things that they like on to the people. iOS lacks in the native file manager and Android has some amazing third party file managers like Root Explorer, ES Explorer which work really well once rooted and when not rooted, provide limited functionality. The suggestion program is also available as an App on your WP store. Be sure to add your valuable opinion. Take it with a pinch of salt and wait for WP 8.1!!!
