Wait for the $25 Raspberry Pi Model A is over! Product is moving to production line
The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. It’s a capable little PC which can be used for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays high-definition video.
The wait for the $25 (plus tax and shipping) Raspberry Pi Model A is finally over and the unit is now off to the production line. Making of the Model A (An ARM GNU/Linux box) is at the Sony factory in Pencoed, Wales.
The Model A being cheaper, having 256MB of RAM and one USB port, has no Ethernet and consumes less power when compared to Model B which is on high demand.
While Model B has twice the memory, 2 USB ports and Ethernet also.
We could expect Model A by early next year. And hopefully interested people can get your own $25 computer!
