Telefónica O2 UK unveil Huawei’s first Windows phone – Huawei Ascend W1

Huawei unveiled its first ever windows phone at CES 2013. What gives at the glimpse of the first look is that the smartphone is just appearing similar to Lumia 900 or Lumia 920. It comes in various colors say cyan blue, white, bright red, and black.

Ascend W1 has a 4-inch LCD touchscreen with a  screen resolution of 800×480 pixels. And the thickness is  around 0.4 inch. A  5MP rear-facing camera is also found. It runs with a  1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 chipset, with the Adreno 305 GPU.

Huawei Ascend W1 offers 19.6 days of standby time, which Huawei claims as the longest on the market for this type of phone. Additionally the phone runs on windows 8 OS which would provide all the newest options!

There isn’t any pricing information yet.  But the Ascend W1 will launch first in China and Russia this month and later in Europe, Middle East, and U.S. markets.
