Microsoft to unveil Slate Computer at CES 2010
Reports indicate that Microsoft is all set to unveil a slate like, tablet computer during the CES 2010 being held at Las Vegas. The computer is understood to be manufactured by HP, who has also declined to comment any further on this issue.
The news comes in the wake of Apple Inc. being set to unveil their pre-announced tablet during this month. Microsoft’s this move is considered to be aimed at the tech rival.
Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft is expected to reveal this product during his Key note talk at the CES 2010. This computer is expected to be touted as a multimedia whiz with e-reader and multi-touch functions. HP will make the device and it is expected that it could be made available in the mid-year.
The report also shows the increasing trend and likeliness for touch based devices. Touch based gadgets are expected to become the show stealers during this edition of the CES.
