Google owns Meebo for an undisclosed price

The search engine giant has acquired the seven year old startup Meebo for $100 million (based on rumors, might not be right figure). Meebo announced the news on its official blog on Monday. Later today the news was confirmed by Google, the report says that Meebo’s staff would be working with Google plus team. Meebo has variety of tools like messaging, app and social toolbar. There is no official news yet on how Google is planning to use those products. Who knows Google’s acquisition might kill those services too.
