Acer will launch 10-inch Aspire One Netbook version for Linux and SSD
Recently there was an announcement from Acer about its release of 10-inch Aspire One Netbook for windows XP. Now, Acer plans to release Aspire one version for Linux operating system called Linpus and that will have option of solid-state drive (SSD). Linpus Linux is a Fedora based operating system created by the Taiwanese firm Linpus Technologies Inc.
On an interview to ZDNet UK, Acer spokesperson confirmed their “release of Aspire for linux distribution and that would feature Linpus. It will support SSD or HDD. And moreover that the initial release will not support linux, which they planned for a launch during february.
