Apple’s advocacy for health is not latent anymore

From music players to laptops to smartphones, Apple always nails it. The next thing it’s looking at is people’s craze for smart watches. iWatch is definitely on Tim Cook’s list, but is it just going to be another Apple device or does it have any philosophy to it?

Watch closely and you’ll notice that Tim Cook wears a Nike FuelBand. Not just because he has been on the Nike Board of Directors but also because he is a fan of fitness. Cook thinks of wearable technology as interesting and declares that the idea of wearing something on the wrist is natural. Dig deeper into the philosophy of the watch and you’ll see how it connects to Apple’s next big step, fitness.

Surely, any smartwatch will be able to tell the time, the location, the weather and control your music playlist. That’s something a Pebble smartwatch already does.

apple iwatch latest news

On January 31st this year, it was revealed that Apple is working on a fitness product called Healthbook. This is due to launch with iOS 8. It is allegedly expected to monitor health and fitness by packing sensors into iPhone and iWatch. If you watch closer and follow more tech news, you must have noticed that The New York times reported that Jeff Williams and Bud Tribble met with FDA officials about health applications. Hmmm.

All the signs so far indicate that Apple is striving for a surging revolution in the field of fitness. Given the creativity and capability of Apple, we can expect better health to prevail (and eternal life perhaps. 😀 )
