Bill Gates joins the famous social networking site : TWITTER.com. Bill Gate’s early tweets are more focused on the events in Haiti and his foundation work.

Bill gates being a multi-personality person : software giant, philanthropist, and now joins the Twitter community.

The “@BillGates” account existed before, but it wasn’t actually Gates or anyone on his behalf doing the posts. Now, though, the account is held by Gates and is also one of the pages that Twitter lists as a “Verified account”.

The first post by the real Bill Gates was a note that he plans to release the second of his annual foundation letters on monday. charting the progress and challenges in his philanthropic efforts.

“Hello World. Hard at work on my foundation letter – publishing on 1/25.”

Gates also retweeted posts from Time and Ryan Seacrest on Haiti, thanking Seacrest for his work in the quake relief effort.

“@RyanSeacrest – thanks for your work on this, it will have a real impact for the people in Haiti who need it most.”

Scobleizer quoted in his tweets saying : “It took me more than 3 years to get 111,000 followers. @BillGates is going to pass 100,000 followers after just seven hours on Twitter”.

As of writing this article, Bill Gates has “114,909” Followers and just noticed in one refresh there were another 79 Followers more to add up to “114,988”…. !!!
