Browsing Social media during the work, actually increases productivity: Study says

Who said browsing the social media during the work will affect the productivity? According to the experiment by An Academy of Management, browsing the social media during the work; actually increases the productivity. The Keas Infographic explores the benefits of social media in the workplace. According to them, browsing the social media makes the employees feel happier and provides a brief break; thus intern helps to increase the productivity.

So how did they conclude that? The experiment involved following groups, a control group bundling sticks, a group taking an Internet-free break and a group browsing the Internet for 10 minutes — the simple task of highlighting as many letter A’s as they could among 2,000 words of text.

Finally the research team did the study of group’s mental exhaustion. The team that was browsing the internet were 16% more productive than the Internet-free break group and 39% more productive than the control group.
