The search for an Android tablet within your budget is quite a big task. But there are plenty of options in the market from various manufacturers.  Budget Android tablets are gaining huge momentum and that is one of the reason many new manufacturers are grooming in the country. These tablets ranges from 7-inch display screen to 10 inches and are available in prices starting from Rs. 4,000. One of our regular reader Mr. Avinash asked us a suggestion to guide him on choosing a budget tablet. So we thought, why not put them all here.

The Swipe Velocity Tab is a slim Android tablet, which measures just 10.5 mm in thickness and weighs 330 grams. It sports 8-inch IPS display panel with the pixel resolution of 1024 x 768, powered by ARM V7 Cortex-A9 NEON dual core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, 1GB RAM, MALI-400 GPU. It comes with an internal storage of 8GB – which is shared by ROM, app storage and for data storage. The primary camera sports 2 megapixel and the front facing camera features 1.3 megapixel. In the connectivity upfront, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n , USB PC interface for 3G internet dongles and for connecting other USB devices. The device will also support physical network connection using an Ethernet cable via USB Ethernet dongle over OTG interface. Swipe Velocity comes with a 4500 mAh battery.

What’s missing?

Surprisingly Bluetooth interface is missing. Probably that could have been an added advantage.
