HCL ME tablet G1 is somewhat closer to the look of second generation iPad. It comes with a IPS panel on the display which is strong and firm. The rear panel is made of glossy plastic. The display is quite bigger, which is 9.7 inches with the pixel resolution of 1024 x 768. The tablet is powered by a Cortex A9 dual core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, with 1GB RAM and a MALI-400 GPU. The only disappointing thing about the tablet is the lower version of Android, which is Ice Cream Sandwich.
In the storage front, it comes with an 8 GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 32GB. It has an 2 megapixel primary camera and 0.3 megapixel front facing camera. In the connectivity front, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB OTG for 3G dongle, USB and Bluetooth. It has an 7000 mAh battery, which promises to provide a better battery life.

It really looks like a second generation iPad.
What’s missing?
The device runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich, which is little disappointing and probably you can expect an update from the manufacturer soon.
