China’s new train engine hits 310 MPH

China has revealed its new train engine that hits record speed of 310 mph. The above picture is a modified version of CRH-380 train, manufactured by Sifang Locomotive & Rolling Stock Co.  The elongated bullet nose at the head is said to be inspired by the ancient sword.  The speed of the train CRH-380A is powered by 22,800 kilowatts, which is double that of its earlier version CRH 380.  The model has been approved by The Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Science and Technology in China.  This super train is so streamlined, lightweight and capable of running at a high speed even on normal steel tracks.  The train is constructed with magnesium alloy and copper fiber plastic. It is designed with sound dampening materials that cuts down the wind noise for the passengers travelling inside of the cabins. It claims to be one of the fast trains in the world.
