Three Cloud Computing Conferences to Hit This Summer

The world of cloud computing and storage solutions has expanded in the past 10 years, and now reaches far beyond the IT department. Cloud backup and storage affects the finance, customer service, media, communications, design, education and marketing. Small businesses that are new to cloud computing or want to learn more about these services.

Three cloud conferences are happening this summer in New York City, Silicon Valley, and Miami Beach. Attending one, or all, of these conferences will allow you to network with other small businesses who are using cloud solutions, learn more about what cloud computing can do to help your business to grow, while letting you take in some of the main attractions of the city you’re visiting.

Cloud Expo June 10-13

Held at the Javits Center in New York City, this year’s Cloud Expo will feature exhibitors like Appcore Onsite, which automates cloud computing actions across networks and accelerates the deployment of scheduled actions within your network. Along with several keynote speaker presentations, the Cloud Expo will also feature special presentations from industry professionals. Greg Arnette, founder and CTO of Sonian, will give a talk on cloud cost control and share his five secret tools for managing cloud processes on a budget. For the cloud novice, Greg O’Connor, President and CEO of AppZero, will show business owners and IT professionals how they can use “up-level OS” migration to move server applications from old operating systems to new ones by utilizing server and online backup platforms.

IEEE International Conference on Cloud Computing June 27 – July 2

Celebrating its sixth year, the IEEE International Conference on cloud computing will be held in Santa Clara Marriott, California. Taking place in the heart of Silicon Valley, CLOUD 2013 will offer panel discussions, tutorials, workshops, innovation showcases and exhibits. Registration is open now and participants will be happy to know that customer service solutions and social network service platforms will also be included this year.

The ACM Cloud and Autonomic Computing Conference July 29-August 2

Taking place this year at the Eden Roc Renaissance in Miami Beach, Florida, the ACM Cloud and Automatic Computing Conference (CAC) has talks featuring Autonomic Cloud Computing, Autonomic Cyber Security and the tools and applications that you can use to measure and evaluate the success of your autonomic cloud systems. This conference is sponsored by the University of Arizona and Florida International University, so expect to see lots of young entrepreneurs with new ideas.
