NASCAR requests to remove Multicar accident video on YouTube

We received a shocking news about the Multiple cars colliding in a horrific accident during the NASCAR race at Daytona on Saturday afternoon. The reports confirm, at least fifteen fans were injured; including eight people to be hospitalized for months. None of the racers were injured seriously during the clash (but few other sources says, one of the racer were injured seriously). The video footage of the accident was published on YouTube, which showed the horrific collision of multiple cars; which dashed into the fans. Later NASCAR requested YouTube to remove the video citing the copyright concerns and the request was approved in view respect for those injured in the accident.

“The fan video of the wreck on the final lap of today’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race was blocked on YouTube out of respect for those injured in today’s accident. Information on the status of those fans was unclear and the decision was made to err on the side of caution with this very serious incident.”

Immediately after the clash the news flooding in Twitter, where many tweets had pictures and videos of the event. Soon the tag #Daytona became trending on Twitter.

Later, YouTube brought the video back to its original state and stated,

“Our partners and users do not have the right to take down videos from YouTube unless they contain content which is copyright infringing, which is why we have reinstated the videos.”
