Eton Emergency Solar Radio

Eton has launched a new Emergency Solar Radio. It has many new features such as carabineer, “hip” color variations, and a host of utilitarian tools. It normally works as a AM/FM/WB Radio and also features a Compass and LED flashlight. It also features Altimeter, Barometer and even a Bottle Opener.

This Emergency radio features photovoltaic cells which can convert sunlight into battery energy. It features a 1800mAh battery which can be used charge other high-tech electronic gadgets via a convenient USB port. It is designed as such to look like a cell phone on steroids. The price of this gadget is not yet announced. But, it is said to come into market just after this christmas.

This can be used as an emergency radio, a compass which shows directions, a Altimeter, a Barometer, mobile charger and even as a bottle opener. One device with so many uses is quite amazing. Let’s wait for the device to launch by the beginning of 2011.
