500,000 bricks used to create this record breaking 112ft high Lego Tower
The students and teachers from Dickinson High School in Milltown, Dela has created a world record by constructing a Lego Tower using 500,000 bricks. The tower stands 112 feet and 11 and 3-quarter inches tall and weighs around a ton, which surpasses the previous world record of 106 feet Prague tower. The team celebrated the success on Monday in front of a big crowd during which a crane carried Superintendent Merv Daugherty to the top of the tower, where he placed a simple red schoolhouse to complete the world record. It is said that the tower doesn’t contain any adhesives, but supported by wires and a metal cylinder within to keep it from falling over.
