IBM’s Battery 500 can run your car upto 500 miles on a single charge
Planning to buy an electric vehicle? Here’s the great news for you. IBM is building a “Lithium Air” battery technology that promises to run your car up to 500 miles on a single charge. It uses nanotechnology, the battery draws oxygen into its nano-structured carbon cathode, where it is stored and reacts with lithium ions to generate electricity. Then the oxygen is breathed out again. According to the reports the technology will be ready for a use in 2030. That’s a bit long time though!
