Cnet use a heat seeker, an infrared gun-style thermometer for measuring the heat. Both the iPad2 and iPad 3 has been put under the tests and their temperature were measured at various positions of the device. Interestingly the site quoted that “The new iPad doesn’t get hot enough to cook an egg on it. It’s not bursting into flames or smoking”. The temperature of iPad 3 is not hotter than the laptop performing the same task.

Well, when you can manage the laptop at the same temperature, why not with the new iPad. So, the heat issue is not an issue to speak about. Just go ahead enjoy the most successful tablet ever in the market!
