The largest single shot photo of Earth :121 Megapixel Satellite Photo

The 121 Megapixel satellite image of an earth was shot from 22,369 miles away by a Russian weather satellite Elektro-L No.1. The satellite that was launched on 20th January 2011 for the Russian Federal Space Agency by NPO Lavochkin. The satellite weighs around 1620kg and was designed to operate continuously for 10 years. It uses both the visual and infrared frequencies to capture the earth’s whole hemisphere. The earth’s greenary part was captured using the Infrared lights, which is used to see the plants. The 121 megapixel satellite image is the largest single shot ever of an earth. The Elektro has also shot the video of Earth’s northern hemisphere.
