Rumour : Is Microsoft bringing music player to SkyDrive? Codes snippets reveal!

Rumors about Microsoft bringing a cloud music playing to SkyDrive had been floating around for a long time! And now, Yes!, Microsoft might bring a web-based music player feature to its SkyDrive cloud storage service.

When Xbox Music was officially announced this October, the company added that cloud storage is to come for Xbox music Service.
Cloud Storage. But this had not been clear if the feature is going to be embedded on Microsift’s cloud storage service – Skydrive.

This is what Microsoft had to say, “Available in the coming year, a scan-and-match feature will take you beyond the 30 million tracks globally offered through Xbox Music. It will add all the music you own to your Xbox Music cloud catalog, including music acquired through other services. This means you can add almost any content you have to your personal Xbox Music collection, even if it’s not available in the Xbox Music catalog.”

As reported by LiveSide today, sneaking through the code snippets revealed that  noticed references related to a SkyDrive music player were found.

If Microsoft is opting to bring a music player included with the cloud Skydrive , it would be a direct answer to  iCloud, Amazon Cloud Player or Google Play Music!
