Window’s famous “Ctrl+Alt+Del” was a mistake, but IBM designed it – Says Bill Gates

Everyone who used computer, might know what Ctrl+Alt+Del can do in Windows. Bill Gates said, “It was big design flaw in Windows, but we are not to be blamed”. The Microsoft co-founder said during his speech in Harvard University fundraiser that users were forced to use control+alt+delete key combination to see the login prompt and that was flaw design by IBM engineer David Bradley.

The initial idea to have multiple key combination was a security measure to prevent applications from faking to steal the login passwords. The idea is still continued on Windows 8, which can be used to lock down the PC and also access the task manager.
