New Lock screen Vulnerability found in iOS 6.1.3, grants access to Address book & Photos

It was just a day ago Apple released new iOS 6.1.3 that fixed that Lock screen vulnerability. But a new flaw found by the YouTube user @ videosdebarraquito, who gained access to locked iPhone’s address book and photos by pulling out the SIM card while using voice dial to make a call. According to the hacker, the trick will work only on non-Siri iPhone and it will not work on iPhone 4S or 5.

As seen in the demonstration video, the YouTube user initially secures his phone with the pass-code and enables the voice dialing support. Then the process of hacking involved in pulling out the SIM card using the paper clip and using voice dial to make an emergency call ‘123’ and cancelling it. Once the call is cancelled, the bug lets the unauthorized user to access address book and photos. So if you are using an older iPhone and running iOS 6.1.3, then make sure to disable the ‘Voice Dial’ option.
