Skoda releasing Skoda Yeti soon

Leading Premium Car manufacturer Skoda planning to launch its globally popular compact SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) model, Skoda Yeti into the market. This will be launched somewhere in the First Quarter of 2010. Skoda plans to release this car with two engine options, 1.6L and 2.0L Petrol engines and a 1.9L Turbo-Diesel engine. Skoda has made an amazing combination of style and comfort to design Skoda Yeti. This car has got features from Volkswaggen’s SUV Tiguan, Skoda Fabia and Skoda Roomster. Skoda has got an aggressive look but is less bulky than the usual SUVs. After the launch Skoda Yeti will definitely compete with Tata Safari, Mahindra Scorpio, Maruti Grand Vitara and Upcoming Tata Indicruz.

skoda As Skoda Yeti is being launched in two variants, that is in petrol and diesel engines, the engines capacities will vary on their performance and mileage. Its 1.2L 1197cc DOHC Petrol engine will be available with both 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic transmission option and will offer a mileage of 12.7 kmpl on urban roads and 17.2 kmpl on highways. There might be another more powerful variant which will be available with 4wd option which will be powered with 2.0L 1968cc turbo charged diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission gearbox which offers mileage 11.2 kmpl in cities and 15.8 kmpl on highways.
