Sony and HTC Stalls – the various devices: MWC 2014
Sony has been quite busy with the MWC and has unveiled two phones and one tablet. The phones are the Xperia Z2 which is the flagship phone and the M2 which is a mid range device. The Tablet Z2 is the flagship tablet and takes after the older Tablet Z.
Sony Xperia Z2
The Z2 goes after the Z1 and very much improves upon the device. The device is said to come with an 5.2″ Triluminous Display. The display is an 1080p supporting screen and the sharpness is awesome. The camera at the back is the same 20.7MP going against the Lumia 1520 which also sports the same. The sensor is the Exmor RS which can also take low light photograph quite easily. The video recording department of the phone is now updated and supports 4K video recording @ 30fps. There are new modes present which includes slow motion that can take pics at 120fps, background Defocus, and Vine. The powerhouse of the phone is by a Qualcomm SnapDragon 801 chipset which is faster than 800, of course! The version of Android is the latest- 4.4.2 Kitkat with Sony Optimisations, of course.
The phone is an IP58 certified and can go as deep as 1.5m under water and for half an hour. Do you remember Sony Xperia’s stunning Ad?

Sony Xperia Tablet Z2
The Tablet Z2 like its mobile counterpart, built over the tablet Z and brings more improvement to the Tablet.
The changes are inside the hood and the tablet is lightning fast thanks to the 4.4 Kitkat update and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad core processor which is clocked at 2.3GHz and to complement it, it comes with Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM. If you own a Tablet Z, then you can well wait for the KitKat update. But if you dont, then you can go for Z2.

Xperia M2
The M2 is a mid range device and due to its OmniBalance design, looks like the Xperia M. The phone is a competition to the recently released Moto G. Th device features 4.8″ display screen, 8MP shooter with Exmor RS sensor and can capture 1080p videos. The chipset on this device is a Snapdragon 400 with LTE and NFC support.
The device shares its commonality with its predecessor- the M and has nearly the same features except a few. The device is expected to run Android 4.4 out of the box.

HTC Desire 816
The Desire 816 is a phablet device and is one of the first in the desire series. It looks similar to the HTC One. The device comes with an 5.5″ screen but it is actually a mid range offering and hence is built with plastic. The camera at the back is a 13MP unit and the front facing one is 5MP with a BSI sensor. The Desire 816 features front facing speakers much similar to HTC One. The powerhouse of the device is a Snapdragon 400 chipset with 1.5GB RAM and Adreno 305 GPU. The OS is Android KitKat with Sense 5.5 on top.
HTC Desire 610
The HTC desire 610 is smaller than the phablet device and comes with an 4.7″ qHD screen. The battery on the device is a 2400mAh and the camera at the back is 8MP shooter unit. The powerhouse of the phone is a Snapdragon 400 chipset, capable of 1.6GHz Quad core processing.
