Twitter’s new Archival system will lets users to download their lifetime tweets

You can download all your tweets from the twitter archival in just a matter of weeks, says the Twitter CEO Dick Costolo. This is not the first time, the CEO of Twitter has made this promise – he said the same feature will be available on September. Whatever, but this feature will let its users to download a full archive of their tweets in couple of clicks. The news announced during a talk delivered by Costolo at University of Michigan’s Ford School of Public Policy.

“By the end of the year I’ve already promised this, so the engineers – when I promised it publicly they’re already mad at me so they can keep being mad at me,” said Costolo at UM. “Now, again, once again, I caveat this with the engineers who are actually doing the work don’t necessarily agree that they’ll be done by the end of the year, but we’ll just keep having that argument and we’ll see where we end up year-end.”, says Costolo.

His talk also included information about the number users currently Twitter has and few statistics – 3000 tweets were delivered during the World Cup Summer 2010. He also said, there is no plan to increase more than 140 characters while tweeting.

Lets wait and see when this feature will be available to the users.
