World’s youngest Microsoft certified professional Arfa Karim is no more

The little girl, Arfa Karim Randhawa, born 1995 in Jatt Randhawa family was a student from Faisalabad, Pakistan. In the year 2004 at the age of 9, Arfa Karim became the world’s youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCPs). The title which she was able to retain until the year 2008. Bill Gates invited Arfa to visit the Microsoft Headquarters in USA.

Arfa had been interviewed  by most of the country’s leading television channels and newspapers. She awarded with the Fatimah Jinnah Gold Medal in the field of Science and Technology, which was proudly presented by the Prime Minister of Pakistan at that time. Arfa also received President’s award for the Pride of Performance and she became the soul owner of many such awards around the world.

Arfa was invited by Microsoft to be a part of the keynote session in the Tech-Ed Developers conference held in Barcelona. At her age of 16, Arfa suffered from cardiac arrest after an epileptic seizure on December 22, 2011 and was admitted to Lahore’s Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in critical condition.  Bill Gates,the chairman of Microsoft, advised Arfa’s parents, and guided his doctors to adopt “every kind of measure” for her treatment. On January 14, 2012 the world lost the youngest genius Arfa Karim at 9:50 PM (PST) at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Lahore.

Bill Gates and the world was very badly hit by this sad news. Let the little IT gem, Arfa rest in peace!
