Yahoo announces partners for WebTV

Finally Yahoo’s dreams to launch Internet & TV together has come true, after they unveiled their joint partner list for introducing Web TV. At the consumer electronics show in Las Vegas, Yahoo Inc. announced their partners deal with major companies like Samsung, LG, Sony for launching a High Definition TV that supports Yahoo Internet Services.

From the day the internet has emerged, many companies had a dream of building a device that wil support both television and internet services.

“This announced TV plus Internet called WebTV is expected to be in the market in early spring”, Yahoo said.  WebTV will support internet widgets that can used at the side of the TV. Widgets can be used for viewing Youtube Videos, MySpace, Viewing Stocks, ebay services, twitter services and Yahoo flickr services.

As Internet market in ruled by the giant Google, Yahoo plans to this new technology for its advertising purpose. Still most of the people in the world spend lots of their time in front of the TV,  so advertiser  want to advertise on TV’s more that internet.
