YouTube the gigantic online video sharing website from Google has crossed 1 billion visitors viewing the site every month. This announcement has come from its blog post. The post says that, the boost to reachout such huge visitors have come from the recent smartphone growth.

YouTube launched in 2005 by Jawed Karim an internet entrepreneur from Germany and later in 2006 bought by Google. Google had paid an amount of $1.76bn for an estimated users of 30-40 million. From then on, its has grown to a gigantic Social Video Sharing network posing challenges to Facebook, which only reached 1 billion users last October. YouTube thanks to all its viewers for making YouTube what it is today.
