Android 4.3 Jelly Bean hits UK HTC One units – Update it now!
The international Version of the HTC One tasted Android 4.3 Jelly Bean a few weeks back. But for the customers in the United Kingdom (UK), there was some delay, the reason being unknown. The UK version maybe had to go through carrier-based apps which might have taken the longer time. Now the update is seeding for the different regions of the United kingdom. The Android 4.3 update brings with it a Sense 5.5UI which is a flat and non glossy version of Sense 5. As is the trend with the current manufacturers and Operating system designers, switching to a flat design is better for them as well as the customers. No lag in terms of Graphics and so on.
The Android 4.3 update brings with it many improvements. Chief among these are improvements to Blinkfeed, with HTC Sense 5.5 delivering better recommendations, offline reading, side swipe for quick shortcuts and Google+, RSS and improved Instagram integration. The most notable being the ability to disable BlinkFeed. For those users who are not that into Social Networking will find this feature very useful. The update is not only to non social activities but in terms of software addition as well. HTC One owners can also expect to find improvements to the Camera and Gallery apps, added GIF support in HTC Zoe, a Do Not Disturb feature, and a new app called Scribble, which is designed for taking notes and doodling. The HTC Zoe is a software which can capture Motion focus shots and many other things. Out of all the additions, the DND feature should be the most useful. The update comes in Over-the-air (OTA) and measures about 675MB. So make sure you to download it with your Wi-Fi connection. The HTC One should automatically prompt you for an update. If it doesn’t, just head on to your phone settings and click on Phone update (Settings>About Phone>Software Update) .
Happy downloading!!!
