Sachin Tendulkar sets the record off the field too – Twitter

Twitter, online micro-blogging site provides 140 words to express your thoughts. Well as the powerful saying goes ” Talk less and work more”. The effect of speaking less and more implications also makes the reader’s imagination run wild. Sachin too has tried to fit in his expressing thanks to his fans in those 140 characters !

Sachin Tendulkar has done it again and this time off the field and on twitter. The micro-blogging site is full of traffic due to the legend and his followers. Tendulkar joined Twitter in 2010. He goes under the name sachin_rt. From his 1st Twitter post, you smell that he is been forced by his children’s to use Twitter !

The 40 year old batsman has 3,847,242 followers on twitter and still counting.  BCCI has put up its own page #ThankYouSachin for fans supporting Sachin’s retire and wishing the star all the best in his career and life ahead.

He has tweeted 378 messages till date. On November 13 sachin tweeted twice saying : “I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for 24 years of support. Hope you guys liked my messages via @BCCI” and “I am really touched with #ThankYouSachin messages. Your support all these years have inspired me to give my best” which is being his latest tweet.

And coming back to the record, this message has now been retweeted 11,350 times and 6,771 have set it as favourite (till 06:49PM IST, November 15, 2013) .
