Bajaj’s new car for 1.1 lakh Rupees

After the launch of Tata Nano, Bajaj in alliance with Nissan and Renault has made a plan to manufacture a new car for just only 1.1 lakh rupees. This car is mainly designed to compete with Tata Nano which is said to be the lowest priced car in India.  Nissan–Renault–Bajaj Alliance has expressed its agreement to keep the price of their ULC (ultra-low cost) car close to Rs. 1.1 Lakh to give a strong competition to the only contender in this price segment, the Tata Nano.

The small car will be a new level of optimization to a trend which Tata started. The highlights of the car will be low price, low maintenance cost and high fuel mileage. The car is expected to be reach the showrooms by year 2012. This is going to be an interesting segment as no other player has been thinking to enter this segment of Tata Nano. But it seems that eventually the difference between the car segment of 600 cc cars and 800 cc cars will slowly fade and the customers will have more choice by slight increase in budget.
