China Warns Google & Baidu on pornography

China has the World’s largest internet users, which ranges from 240 million to 250 million.  To purify the internet culture, china has issued a rule to ban all the pornography websites, blogs, forums, video sharing, cummunity websites & search engines.  This rule includes the leading search engine gaint Google & Baidu – the leading seach engine master in china. Of course, Google & Baidu does not have any pornography contents in it, but still they are mostly used for searching pornography content in the internet.

china_googleChina advised seven government agencies to work together on”purifying the internet culture in china”.  We want to save our minor in the country, said information office of the State Council, China’s Cabinet.

China has already acted upon banning many websites that include subversive or too political contents.  The New York times is one among that victim for expressing too political contents.

However, Google has responded to this issue. We don’t see such issue with our website, because google doesn’t generate any pornography content itself, said Google’s spokeswoman in china.   If we violate terms, we will take immediate action and so far no such issue to seen, said Google’s spokeswoman.
