Corning to unveil tougher, more scratch resistant Gorilla Glass 3 at CES 2013!
Gorilla glass has been promising so far and now its time for the next-gen glass. Corning has announced that it will be showing off Gorilla Glass 3 at CES next week! We could expect a much more tougher, damage resistant for the CES!
Yes, Corning have incorporated a proprietary feature called Native Damage Resistance (NDR) which will reduce flaw propagation, increase scratch resistance and maintain the strength of glass also providing about 40 percent reduction in the number of visible scratches! More amazingly they state it will give up-to 50 percent boost in retained strength after the glass becomes flawed!

Corning plans to introduce two new products at CES 2013: Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3, a new glass composition with durability enhancements; and Optical Cables by Corning, fiber-based, device-to-device connectivity solutions that significantly extend the data transmission range past the limits of copper-based cables.
