Glassdoor Report : Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg tops CEO of the year
Glassdoor on Friday has released this year’s top 50 highest-rated CEO’s and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg pushes all others to be the No. 1. In fact, Last year’s top CEO Apple’s Tim Cook has been pushed to 18th position this year by CEO’s from SAP, McKinsey&Company, Ernest&Young, Cognizant, EMC2 etc.,
Employees of Glassdoor has compiled this report based on reviews from more than half a million company from Feb 25 2012 to Feb 24 2013. “An open community from Zuck on down. Mutual trust company wide and sense of community and drive, instilled by our CEO, who we all truly respect”, quoted by an anonymous Facebook employee.
“The CEOs who are most successful in gaining employee approval are those who paint a clear vision of what the company is setting out to achieve and how it’s going to get there,” Robert Hohman, Glassdoor CEO and co-founder, said in a statement. “To be recognized by your employees as a strong leader also comes as a result of having a solid company culture that helps employees foster the skills necessary to move business forward and meet the needs of customers.”
Out of 50 Top CEO’s Victoria’s Secret’s Sharen Turney is the only female CEO in list with 82% approval rating, ranking in at number 42. Similarly HP’s Meg Whitman was the only women in the last year’s list at number 24. From the Glassdoor’s last year report, only 17 employee could make it to this year’s report.
