Why Google Maps did not alert about Indonesia Earthquake?

Today wednesday, Indonesia was rocked by a major earthquake of 8.9 magnitude. A tsunami alert was issued after the tremor waves started crossing. Few tremors felt across Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, India and other southern Asian regions. But surprisingly Google maps didn’t show any alerts in those regions. If you are follower of Techglimpse, then you might have read our article that discussed about the Google map alerts of dangers across the world. Though it didn’t strike to my mind during the termors felt in India, but later I was curious to know whether Google Maps shows any such alert. Instead Google Map said “There are no active alerts in the map area”.
