McLaren shows off unbelievable race car! [GenevaAutoShow 2013]

McLaren P1 unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, packs unbelievable 903 horsepower which makes me think that its a super racer! And yes, it also has a 633 pound-feet of torque from the combination of a 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine and an electric motor.

With this combination – racing 62 miles p/h would take “less than three seconds” and shooting upto 124 mph would take “under seven seconds” and hitting 186 mph will take “no more than 17 seconds” !

Another mind blowing factor why we have to talk about this car, is that, the Emissions is under 200 grams (seven pounds) per kilometer. The car could run with electric power alone for up to 6.2 miles. The 324-cell battery can be charged by the electric motor on deceleration or via a wall plug stored in the luggage compartment.

The P1 also has a special recharging function dubbed “pit-lane charging,” which can recharge the battery in 10 minutes using the dashboard “Charge” button. Adjustable suspension mode and active aerodynamics feature could control the rear wing to maximize the levels of down force!
