New Facelifted Volkswagen Jetta!!!

Volkswagen (pronounced Folks-wagon)  is a German automobile manufacturer headquartered in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany. The company has many production factories located in different countries. It is known as the people’s car due to its affordability and the choice of materials present in the cars. But off late, it is turning out to be an expensive car manufacturer.

The company is known to be famous due to its compact car- The beetle. It has a stylish design and is said to be the first car to ever feature a rear engine design. It is the longest running and most manufactured car of a single design platform. The idea of a cheap and simple car to run on the roads of Germany was seen as necessary to Adolf Hitler who contracted Porsche to do the job. Ferdinand Porsche took till 1938 to get the concept ready. Now Volkswagen is a large manufacturer of cars in many of the countries. It has released its Passat, the Jetta, New Beetle, and the Touareg. The Jetta has been face-lifted once and this is yet another facelift. It is sure to be mistaken as a Vento at first. But a closer look says that it is the all new Jetta.

The new Jetta gets a new lighting system, featuring new xenon headlights with washers and LED DRLs arranged in an L-shaped manner (similar to the Audi lineup). The Trend-line and Comfort-line variants now features an all-new 16-inch ‘Sedona’ alloy wheels. There is also a new audio system which features Bluetooth compatibility with most of the devices out there. It also has various safety features including ABS, ESP (electronic stabilization program) and six airbags.

The Jetta derives its power from the 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. While the petrol model churns out a maximum power output of 122bhp and 200Nm, the diesel model develops 140bhp and 320Nm of top torque. You get the diesel engine with a six-speed DSG automatic gearbox, while petrol variants come with a six-speed manual.  It is said to set you back by Rs. 13.7 lakh to Rs. 19.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The outside and the inside apart from beauty changes remain the same. The Jetta is a stunner and can outperform any other cars in the specified range. Go for the Volkswagen- Das Auto!!!.
