Nissan Sunny Sedan Unveiled for 2011
After successful launch of Nissan Micra the company is planning to launch a new car Nissan Sunny with more better features. The new sedan, Nissan Sunny, will be built on Nissan’s versatile ‘V’ platform, but is not a Micra sedan. Sunny will be launched in India in the second half of 2011. However, the name Sunny is only for China market and its name in India is yet to be finalized, Nissan says.
Stated to compete with Maruti Suzuki D’zire and Tata Indigo Manza this car is said to launched in both diesel and petrol engines. The petrol engine will be the tried and tested HR15, 1500cc, four pot motor from Nissan generating about 80 bhp of power and 135 nm of torque. This petrol motor is expected to be joined by the 1.5 liter renault sourced crdi diesel engine, that will also do duty in the Micra Diesel. The diesel engine could feature a variable geometry turbo with an intercooler to push the power and torque numbers into a higher territory, so as to deal with the higher weight that the sedan desugn brings with it.
This car is said to be launched in the price range in b/w Maruti Suzuki D’zire and Tata Indigo Manza or the same price. This car is expected to reach India by the end of First Quarter 2011.
