Researchers introduced a Plastic that can repair it self when exposed to light

Here’s comes a plastic that can repair it self when the temperature changes or if it is exposed to the light. A group of researchers from American Chemical Society has developed a plastic which is made of molecular bridges that can fill-in the gap created by the damage. Let’s make it simple, if your cell phone is made of this plastic and when you drop it to the floor. The damage could create a crack, but if it is exposed to the light; the plastic is capable of self healing it self by filling the gap. The plastic consists of molecular bridges that connects the plastic and makes its self-healing possible.

The researchers also focusing on how the plastic might regenerate itself during the high temperatures. Self healing plastics are nothing new, Nissan recently came up with a self repairing iPhone case.
