The tallest skyscraper Sky City in China will be built just in 90 days!

Sky City or Sky City One, is a proposed super-tall skyscraper approved for construction in the city of Changsha, Hunan in south-central China. The Chinese construction company Broad Sustainable Building(BSB) is undertaking this project.
Sky City would be likely to be the tallest building in the world – with 220 floors and a total height of 838 meters, which is higher than the Burj Khalifa, which is currently the world’s tallest building, upon its completion by March 2013.

It is expected that most of Sky City’s floors will be earthquake resistant and will house apartments for 174,000 people, and the rest will house a hotel, school, hospital, offices, shops, and restaurants. Also, the company says Sky City will cost about $628 million really less than that of Dubai’s Burj, which required an estimated $1.5 billion to build. It is the same firm that built a 30 story building constructed just in 15 days in China.

BSB said that the new tower is being constructed of steel prepared prior to the start of the building work and that the process is as simple as building blocks, making it easy to complete.

BSB chief executive officer Zhang Yue said Sky City is expected to consume a fifth of the energy required by a conventional building due to BSB’s unique construction methods, such as quadruple glazing, 15-centimeter-thick exterior walls for thermal insulation, fourpaned windows, fresh air heat recovery system, non-electric air conditioners, cooling-heating power system and LED lighting.
