Verone Mankou designed the First African Smartphone and Tablet
Most of the smartphones in U.S are designed by Apple and most sold smartphone in Asia is Samsung. In same way, an African designer Verone Mankou – his startup company VMK, wants African to use smartphone and tablet designed by an African. According to the reports from the startup, the company has announced its first smartphone called “Elikia” (means “Hope”) and a tablet called “Way-C” (which means “light of the stars”).
The smartphone Elikia would cost around $170, which runs on Android operating system and the tablet would cost around $300.
