Don’t miss Halley’s Comet Meteor shower Peaking this Sunday
The annual Eta Aquarid meteor shower will peak this Sunday night and you can watch the fireworks online, says NASA. A meteor shower which was made out of the dusty leftovers of Halley’s Comet will be peaking on May 5th, which can be viewed lively over the webcast from the agency’s Marshal Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. Make a note of this, the webcast and chat will be available from 11 p.m to 3 a.m EDT. NASA told, the meteor rates is of about 30 to 40 meteors per hour near peak and it will also be good on May 4th evening. The reports says that Etas might contain few fireballs and it will be ideal to view when the skies are clear and away from city lights.
As told earlier, the Eta Aquarid meteor shower is created out of dusty debris from Halley’s Comet, which orbits the sun once every 76 years. The same was visible from Earth in 1986, which left the dust across the solar system, as the Earth passes through them.
