iOS 7- redefining the future or rather reinventing the past?

Apple has released its latest update to its homebrewed mobile operation system. Well, as it is also present in the Tablets, we cannot say mobile. The correct name should be multi OS or iOS.

The term iOS was given by Steve Jobs who when launching the iPhone 4. He made the change from iPhone OS to iOS. Now why does Apple have that “i” in front of every word? It puzzles me, really. I don’t know about you. But let me explain. That i should stand for intelligent or rather Apple marketing with a strange name such as inventing a word or rather destroying a word and calling it a trend. The latest version of iOS 7 has to deserve some credit. It has some new features, bug improvements and some copying as well. Well copying isn’t bad as long as it is not recognizable. Once it is recognized, the next thing you get is “copy cat” just like how in an exam hall, once you are caught by the squad (as they call it), you will not be able to write other exams and you will be under suspension.

The iOS 7 resorts to a flat look compared to its predecessors which had a glossy shine to it. The version of the OS is seven. If the music lines were true, (the octave rule ie) then my prediction would be iOS 8 would be following iOS 1.0 Well, that is going back to the glossy look and not on the features. (Lol) Apple says that iOS 7 has 200 new features just like it always would when new versions of the OS are introduced. I suppose they count also the bug improvements in them. It is not like I hate Apple but the marketing techniques used by them are rather….. childish. Its like a child would go on about his possession of any toy being the best and how to prove that?- exaggeration. The Flat UI is heavily borrowed from the Windows Platform which Android is also trying to achieve due to robustness and less lag time when you have a flat UI rather than a glossy one. The second one are How the device notifies you. There is a lot of change in the internals of iOS but more of the features are like Android. The only difference being the  direction in which it is done. If Android has a pull down notification center, iOS has a pull up Control center. Apple has side loaded many bug updates as well when they released iOS 7.

The first one- 7.0.1 was quick to be released following the biometric hack of the iPhone 5S sensor. The latest update stands at 7.0.4 which is said to solve the FaceTime issues. Well, What Apple is doing may be either taken as redefining the future or rather if you are too bored by the company’s design pattern and other things, you would call it reinventing the past?
