Turn your iPhone, iPad and iPod into a powerful translator – that can support almost 60 different languages. The app can translate voice input to any supported language or you can enter text and translate into any language. The app speaks out the translation snippet for you to verify the word’s pronunciation and usage. Later the translated text can be shared with your friends via SMS or email.
To start with, download and install the Voice Translator from the iTunes. Upon opening the app, you need to configure the settings by clicking the icon located on the top-right corner of the main screen. The app comes with “Voice to Voice mode”, “Voice to Text” and “Text to Text mode”. Only one mode can be put to use at a time, so you will make this decision before beginning your translation job.
After choosing the translation mode, you have to choose the primary language in the top field and foreign language in the second field. Now, you are set to go. Go the home screen of the app and if you have selected the text translation mode, hit the purple box and start typing the text that you like to translate. The app will connect to the internet and the Voice translator will speak out the translation. To listen again, you need to hit the small speaker icon in the options bar.
To translate your voice, you need to hit the language icon that is being spoken and wait for the app to capture. The Voice Translator will speak the translation and also will provide you the transcribed form on the screen. For best results, you need to ensure there are no additional noises around you and stable internet connection.
