Hulme CanAm a great name in New Zealand, as Denny Hulme won the World F1 title in 1967 and 2 canAm titles. It was back in 2005, that Hulme F1 was shown in a conceptual form. Hulme canAm takes Conceptual, engineering engineering and styling cues from the current F1 and sports racing car technology. It has a hand-built 7-litre (427cu.in) Chevrolet V8 developing 600bhp and 600Nm torque fed through a close-ratio, 6 speed CIMA gearbox.
Hulme canAm independently built Caparo T1 competitor is the brainchild of 68-year old Jock Freemantle. The car is destined for sale across Europe and the middle east with a price of $700,000.
It has been created for both road and track use. The Road canAm features a carbon fibre monocoque chassis and bodywork and weighs in at less than 1,000kg.
