How is your breath today? Let Breathometer Mint tell you that.

Updated on September 1, 2017

A stinky pinky mouth is always a turn off. And this has nothing to do with gender. Bad breath turns off EVERYBODY. In fact, it is a turn off for the very person sporting it (they behave as if they don’t care, but they do). Apart from being tagged uncultured, unhygienic and adjectives of similar kind, bad breath would also give you a tag of being unwell.

My mother often says, “If your mouth smells like a dead fish, then there’s something fishy with your body”. And she is absolutely right (yes, as she is my mother) and else says who? Says the doc. Your breath is an indicator of your body. All put together, the mouth or oral system plays a significant role in indicating one’s health condition. So, what do I do? Drink more water? Carry another packet of mint? Yes, you can do all that but for that, you first need to analyze your own breath. How? Asking people,” Is my breath okay?”. No, by asking Breathometer Mint!

Who is he (or, she, for that matter)?

A tiny whistle like device which takes a puff of your own breath and tells you how hydrated and healthy your mouth is.

Why do I need the Breathometer?

  • Well, did you know your teeth would turn yellow one day?
  • Were you aware you gums were ready to fall out?
  • Are you aware gum disease can cause cardiac arrest?

A stitch in time saves nine. The Breathometer would tell you all this over a period  of time.

How do I use the Breathometer?

Place it in your mouth and let your mind wander and within a few seconds a comprehensive analysis of your breath is right on your phone’s screen.

Which phone?

The app is free and available for iPhone 5 and it’s predecessors. In the Android fam, this app would go hand in hand with Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S5 and Nexus 5. But I don’t see it on the Play Store neither on the App store. That’s because it will step into the app market this year in August.

How do I know it is precise?

Volatile Sulfur Compounds are a part of your mouth which turn into the ‘bad guy’ when in excess. We add to them by way of sipping and munching on several beverages, meals and snacks right through the day. The result – bad oral health. Breathometer measure Hydrogen Sulfide and other fancy consistency of your breath, thereby, catering to you precise results. What about hydration? Mucus membrane (is a simple term which is understood by all of us) is moisturized. How well? That Breathometer measures, decides and shows right on your phone.

All this for analyzing my breath?..

…and to tell you-you need a mint, you are okay, your breath is about to smell  and then some.

How and where do I get the Breathometer?

Fund them on Indigogo and get your hands on these ‘good doers’ very soon.

Stay fresh, stay healthy (Wow, sounds like a slogan).
