Intel express its dream of making Smart Bowl to charge gadgets wirelessly!! [CES 2014]

Intel heading to make “everything smart” on his way is focusing on wearable devices at ces 2014. To solve the problem of charging wearables, Intel unveiled a smart wireless charging bowl. During Intel’s CES keynote, a slide flashed this smart wireless charging bowl, among several other innovations.

In a section of the presentation by Intel CEO Brian Krzanich, about solving problems by making everything smart, discussed this smart wireless charging bowl. He says “Wearables are not everywhere today because they aren’t yet solving real problems and they aren’t yet integrated with our lifestyles,”.

To put brakes to our excitement, this bowl currently can only charge Intel’s newly announced smart headset! However, it has plans to expand it to accommodate a wider range of devices, including phones, tablets and ultrabooks. For now, just drop the Intel’s smart headset into the bowl and it starts charging immediately!

Specifications of the smart bowl:

The bowl measures approximately 10 inches in dia and uses magnetic resonance technology for charging, which is the basis of recent A4WP innovations. For those who do not know A4WP, its a technology which makes it possible to charge multiple devices simultaneously even without proper placement.
