Best iOS/Android apps and learning games for tiny-tots

It occurred to me only when I saw a 7 year old playing games on an iPhone, sorry, HER iPhone, that children are no exception to gadget addiction. Here, I enlist some iOS and Android apps that intend to educate and entertain these gadget hungry children at the same time.

Monkey Preschool Lunchbox

Available in iOS and Android versions, this is an application that has a collection of games that are suited to various age spans of children. Children can learn letters, counting, shape recognition and sizes. As with all other games, there are awards such as stickers to appreciate kids to play and learn more. As the name of the app specifies a monkey, there is an animated monkey to engage the children and guide them through the games.

Developed for iOS, this application consists of a set of games that are arranged in the form of an arcade and consist of four games namely: ABC Invasion, Pinball 123, Claw-Crane Matching and Whack-A-Mole. This application intends to help children in learn letters, colors, and numbers and develop motor skills.

Shapes Toddler Preschool

This iOS particular app is multi-lingual, that is, it is available in English, Spanish and French. It teaches children shapes, animals, transport, numbers, letters, music, money and seasons through games, quizzes, flashcards and puzzles.
