CloudSolar shows how you can go solar when you don’t have a roof!

Updated on March 23, 2015

The population burst has depleted the number of individual houses and villas and incremented apartments. People who want to use the renewable solar energy for their consumption face trouble because they don’t have their own roof space while residing in apartments.

CloudSolar, a start-up for this purpose, can enable people to support green energy. The renters can reap benefit from owning solar panels that are not placed in their roof top but elsewhere. CloudSolar sells solar panels to the customers and these panels are kept in a remote solar farm to harvest solar energy better and the customers need not worry about finding a place to fit the equipment or its maintenance. A panel is said to cost USD 750 now by pre-order, the technology is currently receiving funding in indiegogo. The customer will receive their solar panels to fit it in their house if they wish to or else it will be installed in a CloudSolar farm, where it will be under complete management for 25 years.

Customers can purchase any amount of such panels and maintain it in the farm. The electricity produced by these cells are sold and customers will receive a check every three months for it. This energy is sold on the local transmission lines. The customer’s income in this investment is completely managed by CloudSolar including the taxes.  About 80 per cent of the cash the cells make is given to the customer and it is estimated to be USD 2250 in 25 years for a single panel.
